Über das Gebäude Z:
Das Bürogebäude Z befindet sich auf dem Campus Süd der Universität Bielefeld an der Konsequenz zwischen dem Neubau des Hörsaalgebäudes und dem H-Gebäude.

  • A lavish entrance hall will welcome visitors into the building.

  • Chancellor Stephan Becker and Vice-Rector Prof. These are integrated into a Campus South location concept that the university developed together with an urban planning office.

  • R6

    Building R6 is the future anatomy building of the OWL Medical Faculty.

    An extension followed in 2020, doubling the usable space. Zukünftig wird mit Ausnahme der im Institut für Gewalt- und Konfliktforschung Beschäftigten die gesamte Fakultät für Erziehungswissenschaft im Gebäude Z vertreten sein. It will have a green facade and photovoltaic roof and will fulfil the requirements for e-charging points.

    • R4

      With the R4 building in the second row behind the Z building on the Konsequenz, Bielefeld University is creating future office space for the Faculty of Medicine.

      It is used by the Faculty of Education, which is largely housed there. The building is being brought up to the latest standards in six construction phases. The university is building a main usable area of around 2,800 square metres to the south of the consortium. On Morgenbreede next to building R1 (formerly ICB), the university built a main usable area of around 3,900 square metres.

    • Lecture Hall Building Y

      A few metres next to the main university building, the new lecture hall building Y has been built.


      The building is being constructed in the direct vicinity of the new anatomy building R6.

    • New car park Universitätsstraße

      The Bau- und Liegenschaftsbetrieb des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen (BLB NRW) is currently building a new multi-storey car park for Bielefeld University with a total of 1,600 car parking spaces and 100 covered bicycle parking spaces.

      „Wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir die Kolleg*innen unserer Fakultät zukünftig weitgehend unter einem gemeinsamen Dach vereinen können“, sagt Dekan Professor Dr. Ullrich Bauer: „Der alltägliche Austausch wird durch die räumliche Nähe enorm erleichtert. Zudem haben auch die Studierenden der Erziehungswissenschaften zukünftig eine zentrale Anlaufstelle mit guter Lage auf dem Campus.“

      Neben Mitarbeiter*innen der Erziehungswissenschaft ziehen Beschäftigte der Medizinischen Fakultät OWL in die neu entstandenen Büroräume im Gebäude Z ein.

      Das war in Anbetracht der Auswirkungen der Coronapandemie auf Lieferketten und Zusammenarbeit auf der Baustelle nicht selbstverständlich, sondern eine enorme planerische Leistung des gesamten Teams.“

      Das ursprüngliche Gebäude Z wird aktuell von der Fakultät für Erziehungswissenschaft genutzt.

    • The planned lecture hall will accommodate 700 students.

      The new replacement building at Morgenbreede is designed to meet these demands.

    Building Z

    In February 2018, construction work began on the university's new office building at the "Konsequenz", and ten months later the new building was inaugurated.

    In December 2020, the university bought the ICB. Since then, it has been called "R1" and is used by the Faculty of Medicine OWL. About half of the 7,150 square metres of usable space is used for laboratories and half for offices.

  • Building X

    Building X forms the prerequisite for the modernisation measures of the main university building (UHG) and at the same time represents the link to the new Campus North with the CITEC building and the University of Applied Sciences.

        
        

    Im Mai 2020 erreichen die ersten Module für das Gebäude Z den Campus Süd, rund ein halbes Jahr später ist das Gebäude fertig. The multi-storey car park will replace the existing car parks from the 1970s. Diese realisiert die Universität in einer sogenannten „Mehr-Gebäude-Lösung“ entlang der Morgenbreede/Konsequenz.
